AUTUMN GREETINGS FROM THE VINEYARDS
As the crisp, golden days of autumn settle in, we’re absolutely thrilled to share the latest happenings at the winery and, most importantly, to connect with you, our cherished wine club family. There’s something magical about this time of year, and it feels even more special knowing we get to share it with you.
Being part of our wine club isn’t just about receiving wine. It’s about being part of a story, a family, and a tradition that we hold dear. Nothing brings us more joy than sharing the fruits of another year’s labor with you, our extended winery family, and seeing the smiles that our wines inspire.
As we head into the season of giving, we’re delighted to share that we now offer custom wine labels for holidays and special occasions. Perfect for adding a personal touch to your celebrations. We also create company gift packs for clients or team members. For more details, reach out to Dennis or Jarod, who will be happy to help bring your vision to life.
RIBS, REDS, AND GOOD COMPANY
This summer, the winery hosted a lively Zinfandel Portfolio BBQ Party, bringing together wine lovers, friends, and family for an afternoon of great food, conversation, and, of course, Zinfandel. The feast was catered by A&M BBQ LLC and featured ribs, chicken wings, beans, and slaw, all paired with hand-crafted sauces that perfectly complemented the wines. Guests had the chance to taste the full Zinfandel portfolio, from newer additions like the rich Zinfandel Reserve, to crowd favorites such as “1776”, rare gems like “1812”, and even an exclusive opportunity to sample and purchase futures of the long-awaited “1906” Semi Late Harvest, which hasn’t been produced in nearly ten years. It was a day filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the perfect reminder that good wine and good company are best enjoyed together.
DLM FARMS: MEET THE HONEY BEAR
De La Montanya Farms is excited to introduce the new Honey Bear jar! An adorable version of our classic honey, perfect for gifting or keeping on your kitchen counter. At just $12, this little jar packs all the same golden, delicious goodness in a size that’s as charming as it is sweet. We also have our “Honey Lovers: size (2.75 lbs) jars available in our tasting room.
FERMENTING NEW IDEAS… AND APPLES?
This year, the winery began a new adventure: turning apples grown right on our property into handcrafted apple cider vinegar. We’re still in the early stages, having just ground and pressed the apples into fresh juice, but the excitement is already building. It’s a natural extension of our passion for creating something special from the fruits of our land, and we can’t wait to share the process as it develops. Stay tuned for updates as this offsite project slowly transforming from sweet apple juice to tangy, flavorful vinegar.
GOODBYE TO AN OLD FRIEND (TRUCK)
This past summer, Dennis snapped one last selfie with the old winery truck before it rolled away on a flatbed bound for Las Vegas. The De La Montanya family had decided to donate it to Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund, a charity they’d been proud to support for years. With Danny Koker from Counting Cars taking the wheel on this next chapter, everyone was hopeful the truck would shine at auction.
The timing lined up with Dennis’ 73rd birthday, and it sparked a few reflections. Both he and the truck were nearly the same age, still running on their original parts—engine, suspension, rear end, and all. Their bodies have weathered a bit with time, the shine had faded on top, and neither was exactly built for speed these days. “We both have a granny gear,” Dennis joked. Don’t worry friends, this is not the backyard truck
SOME EXCITING UPDATES FROM DENNIS AND THE CELLAR!
We’re proud to introduce a new wine (with a familiar favorite label): “Tres Amour.” This beautifully balanced blend of 55% Tempranillo, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot, is one we know our club members will truly enjoy. If you love our Dos Amour, you will love this spicier version.
After nine long years of waiting, our semi–late harvest Zinfandel is finally making its return. A fan favorite that we’ve missed as much as you have! The “1906” is now available for purchase in the tasting or online, while stocks last. Hop to it!
And for something completely new, we’ve crafted a 100% Mead made exclusively from Dean’s Honey. This is a pure expression of honey, unlike the wine-and-honey blend we experimented with last year. Such a delightful first for us. Ask us about it next time you visit!
Finally, don’t forget our 20th Anniversary PinUp Cabaret! We still have a few magnums and verticals available, but only one complete 20-year vertical remains, so don’t wait too long to grab yours. Available online or contact us via email or phone.
