People who pick up a bottle of Whitesnake Zinfandel probably have little doubt that rock singer David Coverdale has something to do with the De La Montanya winery–produced red. The renowned judging panel for the 2009 Pinot Cup — a blind tasting competition among 50 hand-picked Pinot Noirs— included USA Today’s Wine Critic Jerry Shriver, San Francisco Chronicle’s Jon Bonne and PinotReport’s Gregory Walter.
